| Women’s Day celebrated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 9: Forum for Peace and Development Doda in collaboration with Care for Women and Children (CWC) organized a programme on the eve of International Women’s Day at Alfa Institute of Education and Research (AIER) Doda.
Nuzhat Iqbal Zargar, Ex.Councillor and Social Activitist was the Chief Guest where as Zahida Akhter and Sushil Kumar was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The programme was presided over by Vinod Raina, Director (AIER
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Mtr. Nuzhat Iqbal Zargar said that women should not feel any hesitation in struggling for their rights and they should always be ready for challenging any task and now time has come when the women can play vital role in every sphere of life.
In the same manner, Srinagar Unit of Directorate of Field Publicity organized an awareness programme on the occasion of International Women Day at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ladhu adjacent to Saffron Town of Pampore. A large number of students and some representatives of local community and NGOs attended the programme. Students participated in a symposium on the topic ‘Need and Scope of Women Empowerment’.
