JMC intensifies anti-encroachment drive

Jammu , March 9: Under instructions from S.C. Sawhney Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, the Enforcement Staff led by Satish Khajuria Chief Enforcement Officer along with police intensified the anti-encroachment drive to clear the footpaths and pavements in Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Nanak Nagar.
During the drive, the team seized material, goods like Racks, Chairs, Tyres, weighing scales, tables, utensils, buckets, sign boards etc. which were placed the shopkeepers / vendors by encroaching upon footpaths and pavements and part of roadsides in these areas. The JMC has appealed to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their shops/establishments to avoid seizure of these goods and penalty for such defaults.
