Rakesh Kumar from Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) emerged out as the best in Clay Modeling contest organized by the Department of Students Welfare (DSW), University of Jammu (JU) under the “Display Your Talent”-2006-07. Chander Kant from PG College (Boys) Udhampur, and Shweta Pandita from Deptt of Zoology, JU bagged the second and third spot respectively. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Sivenay Kumari from Deptt of Zoology, JU
The topics for the contest were “Mother and Child”, “Festival”, “Wrestling” and “Railway Station”. Noted sculptors Jagpal and Brajpal Anand were among the adjudicators. Earlier, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director Centre for Quality Assurance Cell, JU and the Teacher in charge of the activity delivered the welcome address and made the participants conversant with the rules and regulations of the contest.
