| Intrusion bid foiled, ultra killed on IB | | |
JAMMU, Mar 09: Foiling an infiltration bid from across the International Border (IB), an alert BSF patrol today shot dead a militant near the forward AMK outpost in R S Pura sector near here.
A BSF patrol picked up the movement of two suspicious persons on the IB near AMK post early in the morning.
Official sources said when the cops challenged them, they started fleeing towards Pakistan. When despite repeated warnings, they did not stop, the cops opened fire, killing onf of them, while the other
managed to cross back to Pakistan, the sources added.
Identity of the slain militant was yet to be established. One AK rifle, its two magazines and 42 rounds, five kilograms of narcotics and two mobile phones were recovered from the slain militant.
Sources said vigil had been further enhanced all along the IB after this incident.
