Irrigation Dept releases canal land from encroachers

Kathua10 march, On the directions of the government, the Irrigation Department has geared up to release the irrigation canal land from the illegal possession of six persons of the Shiv Puri ward no. 3, behind the Govt Degree College, Kathua.
The XEN irrigation B.B Gandotra informed that government has directed the irrigation department to start the movement to take back the land of the department from the
illegal possession of the people. He said as per this direction the department has taken strict action against those more than six people of the Shivpuri ward number 3 who have illegally encroached the irrigation land along the Ravi canal and using for their personal purposes.
The encroachers namely Inderjeet Singh, Mulkh Raj, Luxmi Devi, Balwant Rai, Sultan Ali, Shanu, and Rtd Col Rajeshwar Singh Slathia . Due to this illegal encroachment the construction of the nullah was pending and now the irrigation land has been shifted to the Urban Development department to carryout the construction work of nullah.
