| Camp on bio-diversity conservation held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 10 : A camp was held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Jakh in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Forest on Bio-diversity Conservation. All the students from 9th to 11th classes participated.
The function was inaugurated by the Principal of the institution, Vijay Bhagat. The programme was conducted in two sessions. In the first session, symposium was organised.
Twenty students spoke on the topic. In the second session, a rally was taken out in the Jakh village to make the public aware of the need of the conservation of bio-diversity. A cleanliness drive was also organized to clean the pond of Jakh village. After these programmes, while interacting with the students and faculty members, Principal of the institution laid stress for maximum participation in such programmes to spread awareness among the public in general to keep the environment neat and clean.
The participants were given prizes and after that refreshment was distributed among all the students. The programme was conducted in presence of Yogesh Dhar and Rajni, members of NGO.
