| 2 held with 100 kg poppy straw | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 10: Police today arrested driver and conductor of a truck at Shafapani in Banihal along with 100 kilograms of poppy straw.
Police sources said cops intercepted a truck (PB07K/5872) at Shafapani and recovered 100 kg poppy straw during its checking.
Soon thereafter, the contraband and the truck were seized, the sources added.
Driver Balvinder Singh, son of Nirmal Singh, and conductor Surjeet Singh, son of Chuni Lal, both residents of Nandachak in Hoshiarpur, were arrested and booked under NDPS ACT.
