PDP to hold rally against coalition govt on March 13 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 10: Flaying the state government for not taking problems of the people seriously, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that crops of farmers have got damaged due to yellow rust disease but no emergent measures have been taken by the authorities to far. Addressing a meeting of senior party worker which was convened in the connection with the preparations of the March 13 rally of the party which would be addressed by former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, PDP vice president Sardar Tirlok Singh Bajwa said that this regime has resorted to anti-people policies. He said that problems of the farmers were repeatedly highlighted before the government but promises of the authorities have remained only on papers. Pointing towards shortage of ration in government runs depots, he regretted that due to rampant corruption the ration meant for poor people being sold in open market. Singh said that present dispensation was one of the most corrupt and anti-people regime of the State. PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh said that common people have been facing acute shortage of ration but the authorities were not serious in solving this problem. Senior party leaders Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Falail Singh, Hussain Ali Wafa, R K Bali, Pawan Dev Singh, Sohit Sharma, Choudhary Chuni Lal, Tarsem Saini and others addressed the meeting.
