| NMC hails CE, M&RE | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 10 : A National Mazdoor Conference today organised a meeting under the chairmanship of senior leader Ashok Khajuria here today. The National Mazdoor Conference congratulated Qasim, Chief Engineer M& RE Jammu for conducting a largescale DPC. The members of NMC appreciated the working of the Chief Engineer, who is a dedicated and committed officer and hoped that he will be able to make adjustments of employees in a fair manner. Consequent upon their promotions without succumbing to any pressures, Ashok Khajuria urged upon the Chief Engineer to formulate a proper transfer policy and appealed that no employee should have stay of more than 2 to 3 years at one place.
Khajuria demanded that the daily wagers of electrical department should be regularized and adjusted on the vacancies got accrued consequent upon the promotions made in the DPC. He also appealed to the Chief Engineer to release the upheld salaries of the 21 Meter Readers for the last ten months.
