Work in courts remain paralysed

Jammu , March 10: In response to call given by Bar Association, the lawyers across the Jammu province have extended their support and abstained from appearing in Courts in protest against any move of the Govt aimed at to take away the powers of registration from judicial officers and confer the same to a separate organization.
During the course of day, all the members of Bar Association Jammu in one voice expressed concern about any such move.
Meanwhile, Bar Association of Reasi Udhampur Kathua Batote, Ramban, Samba, Banihal, Poonch, Rajori, Suronkote, Sale Tax Bar Association and Income Tax also abstained from working in Courts.
A meeting of Bar Association Jammu was also held which was presided over by BS Slathia and attended by all the Office Bearers M.U Salaria Vice President, Vikram Sharma General Secretary Parimoksh Seth, Joint Secretary Rohan Nanda Prsident YLA, Amit Gupta Vice President.
