Stranded passengers stage protest against administration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu , March 10: Nearly hundred stranded passengers from Kargil and Ladakh today demonstrated against the administration for not airlifting them to their native places. Amid slogans, the stranded passengers, assembled outside Jammu Airport demanding airlifting to their respective places in Kargil and Ladakh. The passengers alleged that they are halted in this winter capital for the last one month due to the blocked Srinagar-Leh National Highway and despite assurances, the administration has failed to provide them airlift services. “We are staying with our relatives for the past one month and the government is lingering on with our problem,” one of the passengers said adding that they were forced to adopt the path of agitation. However, some senior leaders later intervened and they assured that in couple of days, they would be airlifted to their homes following which the protestors dispersed.
