EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 10: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today asked the heads of Administrative Departments to revisit the laws and rules pertaining to their departments which have gone obsolete with times. Chairing a series of meetings today, the Chief Secretary directed updation of rules by making them in sync with the requirements of present times and administrative needs. He asked for simplifying departmental procedures for service delivery and human resources. In this regard he asked for monitoring the reports of the Administrative Reforms Commission. Madhav Lal also asked for framing a policy on public private partnership and asked them to evolve broad contours of such a policy. He said the aim of the policy should be to encourage local entrepreneurs under the policy so that the dual objectives of investment and employment are achieved. Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, Principal Secretary, PHE, A. K. Angurana, Principal Secretary Planning, Khursheed Ahmad Ganaie, Principal Secretary, R&B, K. B. Aggarwal, Commissioner-Secretary, Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey, Commissioner-Secretary, Power, Basharat Dhar, Commissioner Secretary, GAD, M. S. Khan, Secretary, IT, M. K. Diwedi, Secretary, ARI & Trainings, Tashi Dorje and other officers were present in these meetings.
