Satyam Encounter case Jagar Singh gets conditional bail

JAMMU: Additional Sessions Judge Jammu GK Pandita today granted conditional bail to Choudhary Jagar Singh (brother of Nagar Singh) who was arrested in much publicized Satyam Encounter case.
Jagar Singh alleged that ever since his release on bail in case State Vs Jatinder Singh & Ors (Amandeep Murder case) before the Court, police officers are frantically trying to defeat the order of competent court and forfeit his liberty on one of the other falsehood. He has also alleged that the present FIR has been lodged against him by the police, as cover up to its fake encounter Theory at Satyam Resort Jammu on November 21, 2010 in which one Rakesh alias Giri was killed, another Yudhvir Singh was injured. Petitioner has stated that about this fake encounter the mother of deceased Giri has approached the High Court in a petition for referring the matter to CBI for enquiry and the petitioner has also approached the High Court with a similar prayer, as he apprehends his false involvement in the said encounter and the police officer on notice of above said writ petition. Petitioner has further alleged that his involvement in this FIR is a naked abuse of police power for punishing him for approaching the High Court with the above said prayer.
The Court after hearing both the sides admitted the petitioner on bail and directed to furnish bail and personal bonds each to the tune of Rs 1 lac each, however the bail is granted to the petitioner on the conditions that he shall not leave the territorial jurisdiction of this Court without its proper permission, shall not temper with the prosecution evidence directly or indirectly in this case or in any other case pending against him or his brother or his relatives before any criminal court in the State of J&K and he shall regularly attend the Court hearing in this case. —JNF
