Rs 4.52 cr spent on CFC Sethar: Slathia | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 11: Minister for Industries & Commerce, Mr. S.S. Slathia has said that to promote cricket bat industry in the State a Common Facility Centre (CFC) is being constructed at Sethar Anantnag, adding that this CFC would provide all manufacturing facilities to cricket bat unit holders under one umbrella. This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Mr A.R. Veeri in the Legislative Assembly here today. The Minister said that an amount of Rs 4.52 crore have been expended on setting up of CFC so far. He said Rs 2.46 crore was directly released to PPDC Meerut by Union Ministry of Small Scale Industries (SSI) for plant machinery to be installed at CFC. The Minister said that so far four boilers and 15 wood seasoning chambers including one solar based seasoning chamber have been installed in the Centre, adding that remaining 35 wood seasoning chambers and 16 boilers would be installed after receiving from PPDC Meerut. The Minister said Government would make all efforts to make the installed 14 units functional after putting it to trial run in current financial year but due to unrest in the valley the experts from PPDC Meerut could not conduct the trial run. He assured that the CFC would be commissioned in May this year.
