| Prem Sagar lays foundation stone of development works | | |

13 Minister of State for Finance, Planning, Revenue, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz during his 3-day tour of Basholi and Bani laid foundation stone of construction of lane from main road to Mela ground Bani to be constructed by NHPC (Sewa Hydel Project Phase-II) at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakhs.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the NHPC is going to spent about Rs. 60 lakhs for the development works in Bani area and NHPC has proposed Rs. 25 lakhs for the various development works such as construction of two wards having the capacity of 30 beds in sub-district Hospital, Bani, two rooms with bathroom for Oatti School, one room for Anganwari centre, Oatti and Flood lights at Mela ground, Bani. The Minister appreciated the working of NHPC. He praised the Army efforts for the development works doing under Sadhbhavana Mission.
The Minister presided over the Rural Women Awareness Camp organized by the Social Welfare Department at Mela ground Bani.
Minister stressed the need to educate the females and said that there are so many schemes in social welfare department and ICDS project for the welfare of women old persons, handicapped and poor people.
Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz disbursed 20 cheques amounting to Rs. 2.5 lakh among the beneficiaries of Indira Awas Yojana through Rural Development Department, Bani one cheque of Rs. 10,000 to a beneficiary under National Family Benefit scheme through Social Welfare Department, Bani.
Among others district officers were also present on the occasion. |
