| Inter-Panchayat sports meet held in R S Pura | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 12: Under Centrally sponsored scheme of PYKKA, inter-Panchayat sports meet for under-16 boys of R S Pura block held at different venue, here today.
Participants from 33 Panchayats were involved in various events of kho-kho, kabaddi, athletics, hockey and badminton under the guidance of experts from host department, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the competition in girls section shall take place at the same venue on March 14.
The Detailed Results:
ATHLETICS: 100 mts: Naki Ali, Ist; Rajeev Mandi, 2nd and Surjeet Singh, 3rd. 200 mts: Ravinder Kumar, Ist; Parmeet Kumar, 2nd and Akash Sudan, 3rd. Shot Put: Naki Ali, Ist; Rajeev Mandi, 2nd and Ajay Kumar, 3rd. Long Jump: Mohd Yusuf, Ist; Rajeev Mandi, 2nd; Naki Ali, 3rd. FOOTBALL: Nihalpur Simbal bat Kotli Arjun Singh by three goals to nil to claim the winners trophy. VOLLEYBALL: Kotli Miyan Fateh trounced Badyal Brahmana (Lower) in straight sets of 25-10, 25-17 in the final. BADMANTON: Badyal Brahamna (Lower) bt Kirpind 2-0. KHO-KHO: Nihalpur Simbal beat Abdal by 12 points. KABADDI: Kotli Miyan Fateh beat Nihalpur Simbal.
