3-day training programme for Advocates commences | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, MARCH 12-A 3-Days Training Programme for Advocates with regard to functioning of mediation centre under the scheme of Alternate Dispute Resolution Centre commences at Bar Room of District Court Complex, Kathua today. A team of Resource Persons from Delhi comprising of Ms. Anju Bajaj Chandana, District Judge & Special Judge NDPS Delhi and Mr K.K Makhija Advocate from Supreme Court appointed especially for the training programme is going to impart training to the advocates from Kathua and Samba District. A total of 18 advocates from Kathua and Samba District are undergoing training in three days. Raja Sujat Ali Khan, Registrar Vigilance/Rules who is also Coordinator of Mediation centre of Jammu and Kashmir High Court was also present during the function. Principal, District and Session Judge Kathua, Mr Jang Bahadur Singh welcomed the dignitaries. He disclosed that Kathua is the first district of the state chosen for construction of Alternate Dispute Resolution Centre for which over 1 Crore will be spent. He impressed upon the trainees to take keen interest in the training so as to achieve the desired goal. President, Bar Association Kathua, Mr C.L Rasotra threw light on the provision of mediation centre under Civil Procedure Code. He said mediation centre will help the process of disposal of litigation positively. Among others Additional Distt and Session Judge Kathua Ms Suresh Warikoo, Principal Distt and Session Judge, Samba Mr Suresh Kumar, Chief judicial Magistrate, Kathua Mr Deepak Sethi, Munsiff, Kathua Ms Aarti Mohan, President, Bar Association Kathua Mr Chunni Lal Rasotra, President, Bar Association Samba Mr Rajeev Gupta large number of Senior and Junior Advocates were also present during the Training Programme. Training Kits were also distributed among the trainees during the function.
