VOJ presents 2 challans

Jammu, March-12 :- Vigilance Organization Jammu today presented two challans in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against then JE RDD Block Budhal ALI Mohd s/o Akbar Din and Ikhlaq Ahmad Forest Guard both are caught red-handed by the VOJ on different dates.
According to the challan filed against Junior Engineer Ali Mohd who was then posted Block Budhal, a complaint was lodged by one Mohd Afzal a contractor submitted he has executed and completed the work of land leveling and construction f pond on the direction of DBO Kotranka almost one year back but till date no payment had been made to him by the concerned authorities. The complainant has made request for release of payment but he JE demanded Rs 4000 from him as bribe. The complainant paid 4000 to him, JE assured the complainant to prepare the bill immediately. After three months the complainant again approached the said JE who has demanded an amount of Rs 7200 more as bribe for releasing the payment of work done by the contractor. The complaint lodged a complaint in the VOJ and on this complaint VOJ registered FIR and constituted a trap and caught red-handed Junior Engineer on April 8, 2010 while accepting bribe amount. The bribe amount was recovered and after completion of investigation today presented challan against JE. Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. AK Koul today transferred this Challan to the court Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu.
In another Challan presented against Ikhlaq Ahmad s/o Abdul Rashid Forest Guard Patnazi in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. According to the VOJ cases a written complaint was lodged by one Zulafkar Ali in the VOJ camp office Khellani against Ikhlaq Ahmad Forest Beat Guard alleging therein that his brother-in-law Mustaq Ahmed required construction wood for repair of his house at Patnazi, in this regard complainant filed one application to concerned Beat Guard of Forest dept, but the said Guard asked the complainant to bring Rs 15000 along with application and only than construction wood shall be sanctioned. In the application it was alleged that complainant is going to give Rs 15000 to accused Guard as Thathri and requested for legal action against said forest guard, upon this VOJ registered a case after constituted a trap team and laid a trap and caught red-handed Forest Guard while accepting Rs 15000 and after completion of investigation today presented challan.
