| 15 EAP’s on Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) being organised by JKEDI | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) has been organizing a series of Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) on Credit Guarantee Scheme at different locations in the state.
The programme is sponsored by Credit Guarantee Trust Fund for Micro and Small Enterprise, Mumbai. The programme started on 7th March at Jammu and Pulwama simultaneously. So far institute organised four programmes, one at Jammu, two at Pulwama and one at Shopian which was attended by around 200 participants mostly entrepreneurs. The upcoming programmes are scheduled at Srinagar, Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam and Kulgam.
The scheme launched by the Government of India in year 2000 is aimed at extending support to the aspiring entrepreneurs who are not in a position to mortgage property to the banks while applying for financial assistance to set up their unit.
