| PAPA deplores functioning of CPWD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 12: PAPA, a non-governmental organisation has strongly deplored functioning of CPWD and other concerned of the district administrations in Kathua.
In a handout issued here today, PAPA has said that as a national policy, widening of highways is being carried on but it doesn’t mean that concerned authorities like CPWD and concerned district administrations of Samba and Kathua will just take everything casual without caring about traveling difficulties of a common man of the area unlimited number of pilgrims from all over the country.
They added that one such example is the mute spectator rather a dummy role of the authorities responsible for monitoring the Jammu-Lakhanpur national highway widening works which is highly shocking and demoralizing. They said that they brought the issue into the notice of some social organizations of Jammu including Jammu Bar Association two and half months back but despite assurances, no initiative is noticed till date from any quarter which is very demoralizing.
