| JPPF seeks immediate appointment of VC for central university | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 12: Hailing unity displayed by MLAs of all Jammu based political parties while taking up issue of inordinate delay being in making Central University Jammu functional, Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) has warned against any further delay in appointing a local Vice Chancellor and threatened to revive agitation all over region.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a meeting of the forum held here today under the chairmanship of its President Thakur Paviter Singh which was also attended by Inderjeet Khajuria, Narayan Singh, Yash Pal Gupta, VP Sharma, M.L Sharma, Uday Chand, Kuldeep Luthra, Gajan Singh, Virender Jain, Dev Raj Badu, Pawan Gupta, Amrit Mangotra and transporter Gajan Singh.
Forum appealed legislators of all Jammu based parties to raise their united voice against injustices with Jammu region, highlight its problems and jointly fight for due share to be given to Jammu in political power, development and services. Forum further stated that they have already started mobilization at the district and tehsil level with their units for launching of region wise agitation to press for making Jammu University functional without any further delay.
