| Handicrafts awareness camp held | | |

Jammu, March 13: The Department of Handicrafts organized a day long awareness camp at village Padli, Khour.
The Handicrafts training officers, Krishan Dutt Sharma and Vijay Kumar gave resume of various schemes of the Handicrafts department for benefit of the masses.
During the day long deliberations, a large number of women gathered from the far-flung areas of Khour were made aware about how they can adopt handicrafts as a means of livelihood to earn a decent income while working at home.
Cooperative Societies and Self Help groups working in the Handicrafts sector interacted with the participants to enable them get first hand knowledge about how to start their own venture and the different schemes of the State Government in offing to harness their potential.
The local people appreciated the department for organizing awareness camp.
Among others the camp was attended by Panches, Sarpanches and Assistant Handicrafts Training Officers.
