| Awareness camp under RKVY inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: To educate farmers about various schemes and
prevention of diseases of animals, 15 days awareness camp-cum-workshop
organized by Animal Husbandry Department Udhampur got underway at
village Jib about 13kms from Udhampur district headquarters.
Camp is being organized under Rashtrya Krishi Vigyan Yojna (RKVY). MLA
Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia who was the chief guest on the
occasion formally inaugurated the awareness camp in a simple but
impressive function here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia appreciated the efforts of the
department for organizing the camp of vital importance for farmers of
the area. While speaking on the occasion, Chief Animal Husbandry
officer, Udhampur, Dr. A.K Bhola presented detail resume of the
different schemes initiated by the department for the benefit of
farmers. He disclosed that such more awareness camps would also be
organized in other remote areas of the district in near future for the
benefit of the farming community.
Among others, Dr. D.D Dogra, Dr. K.L Gupta, Dr. P.K.Tak, Dr. Uma Kant,
Dr. U. K Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
