Grenade attack on security forces in north Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Mar 13 : Militants today hurled a hand grenade towards security forces in apple township of Sopore, where two militants were killed in an encounter yesterday. Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a joint patrol party of security forces and state police at Hathi Shah, Sopore, about 55 km from here in north Kashmir district of Baramulla. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded at a distance without causing any damage. A massive hunt has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the attack, which came a day after security forces gunned down two militants. Two militants identified as Chota Kalimullah alias Shamsher alias Talwar Bhai, a self styled divisional commander of Harkut-ul- Mujahideen (HuM) and Waseem Ahmad Ganai were killed by the security forces at Muslim Peer, Sopore yesterday.
