Ignored militancy affected women of Jammu region seek invitation

Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 14: Tehreek-e-Insaf has implored upon the interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir to listen to the plight of militancy affected women of Jammu region also.
Addressing a press conference here today, women leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf namely Dr.Parvaz Akhtar Mughal and Rafiqa Begum criticized interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir for ignoring the women of Jammu region. Dr. Parvaz Mughal said that interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir held interactive sessions with women of the Kashmir Valley seeking their opinion on the Kashmir issue as their voice was not heard enough during earlier meetings is a good move but i would like to inform the interlocutors that Kashmir Valley is not the whole of Jammu and Kashmir.
She said that woman in militancy affected area of Jammu region are the worst victim of militancy and armed conflict. He added that after listening to the women of Kashmir Valley, Interlocutors must organize an exclusive women interaction in Jammu region to listen to our pain and sufferings. She said that women in Jammu region have been the worst victim of turmoil during the last 20 years.
Rafiqa Begum, an active worker Tehreek-e-Insaf who killed a Pakistani militant and injured two in 2005 at Sangaldan area of district Ramban said that hundreds of innocent women were killed and many more were molested during the period of militancy in the remote areas of Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Udhampur Ramba, Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu region. Dr. Mumtaz Hussain Shah Bukhari, Mohammed Aslam Kohli and Ravinder Raia were also present in the press conference.
