MBBS, BDS Impersonation scam CJM grants custodial remand of 4 accused

EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March-14: The court of Chief judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu granted custodial remand of 4 accused in the MBBS/BDS impersonation case today.

Today CBI produced Kuldeep Singh of Amritsar, Pankaj Kumar Priyadarshi of New Delhi, Kunj Bihari of Bihar and Kanihya Kumar Vats before the Court CJM in alleged impersonation of MBBS/BDS Scam.

CJM Jammu MS Parihar after hearing the Senior Public Prosecutor Mr. SK Bhat with MS Brar DySP ACB seeking custodial remand of the aforesaid accused persons who were booked u/s 419/420 r/w section 120-B RPC and Section 2/5 PUE Act of 1987, and also perused the remand application and case dairy, the accused have been arrested by CBI/ACB in the case on March 13, 2011. The investigation in the case is in progress and accused are required by CBI for their custodial interrogation and allowed the custodial remand for eight days with the direction to produce the accused after expiry of remand period and also directed examine the accused persons after every 48 hours.
