| Jaswinder bag best athlete trophy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 14: Winning three gold medals in different field and track events, Jaswinder Kour was adjudged best athlete in the two-day sports meet of block R S Pura for under-16 boys and girls.
Jaswinder won gold in 100 meters, 200 meters and Long Jump events and was obvious choice for the coveted title.
Organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under Centrally sponsored scheme of PYKKA, young boys and girls were involved in different events of kabaddi, badminton, kho-kho, volleyball and athletics.
On the concluding day today, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Mohd Ayaz Khan was chief guest, who along with ZEPO, R S Pura, Veena Devi distributed medals and certificates among the winners. Among others present were ZPEO PYKKA, Bharat Kumar Sharma, ZEPO, R S Pura, Inderjeet Kour and ZEPO Miran Sahib, Daleep Singh.

ATHLETICS: Shot Put: Tanjeet Kour, Ist; Gagandeep Kour, 2nd and Nargis, 3rd. 100 mts: Jaswinder Kour, Ist; Pawandeep Kour, 2nd and Baby, 3rd. 200 mts: Jaswinder Kour, Ist; Shallu Devi, 2nd and Khushi Rajput, 3rd. Long Jump: Jaswinder Kour, Ist; Janjeet Kour, 2nd and Anjali Kumari, 3rd. BADMINTON: Nihalput Simbal beat Magowalo 2-0. KABADDI: Kotli Miyan Fateh bt Satowali by eight points; KHO-KHO: Niharpur Simbal beat Kotli Miyan Fateh. VOLLEYBALL: Nihalpur Simbal beat Satowali in straight sets.
