| Inter-Panchyant meet: Devinder wins sprint gold | | |

JAMMU, March 14: Devinder clinched gold in 100 meters race in the Inter-Panchyant sports meet of Akhnoor Block, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under Central sponsored scheme of PYKKA.
Second position went to Pankaj Kumar while Gaurav Sharma remained third in this 100 meters race.
On the fist day of the meet, competition in under-16 boys section held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Sher Singh.
In Kho-Kho final, Gandharwan beat Palwan Panchyat by a margin of six points while in Volleyball, Kank Jagir defeated Devipur in straight sets. The Kabaddi final was won by Devipur outplaying Choura 17-09.
In all, 450 boys took part in different team and individual events.
Earlier, the meet was declared open by SDM Akhnoor, Ashok Sharma. Prominent among others present were BDO Akhnoor, Hitesh Gupta, ZEO Akhnoor, Gurdev Singh, ZEPO Jourian, Ram Lal and ZEPO Choura, Ram Kumar.
