JAMMU, March 14: A 16-member under-13 year team of young footballers of the state today left for participation in the National Football Festival to be held at Nayeli in Tamil Nadu from March 17.
Before their departure, the team along with two officials, Satpal Singh (coach) and Wali Mohd (manager), interacted with office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Football Associaion (JKFA) at GGM Science College ground here.
Besides general of JKFA, SA Hamid, resident secretary of Association’s Jammu wing, Surinder Singh Bunty also guided the young team.
Earlier, the team underwent a week-long coaching camp which held under the guidance of State Sports Council coach, Sat Pal Singh at Science College ground, here.
The Team: Parvinder Kalsi, Shivam Mehra, Ishant Gupta, Vivaswal Sawhney, Honey Mehra, Tanjeet Singh, Alfred Jacob, Abhishek Gill, Nadeem, Sahil Bashir, Tasaduq, Owais, Yunus Ali, Minhaj and Asif.
