| YNC block president felicitated | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu,Mar 14:-
J&K Youth National Conference, Jammu District organised a workers meeting at Upper Gadi Garh to felicitate Makhan Singh, newly nominated Block President, YNC, Gandhi Nagar "B".
The meeting was convened under the presidentship of Surinder Singh Jamwal, District President, YNC in which Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President, Jammu Province was the chief guest and T. S. Wazir, MLC was the guest of honour.
Addressing the workers, Rattan Lal Gupta said that the forthcoming Panchayat elections are very important for the development of the state, as these are the basic units of democratic institutions through which the planning of the development of the state is taken up by the locals of their respective areas. He said that it will be the first time in the state panchayat elections that Panchayat Raj Act and three tier systems is to be adopted in these elections viz; Gram Panchayats, Block Development Councils and District Development Councils.
Addressing the gathering , T. S. Wazir, MLC informed the workers that the coalition governments thrust is to connect rural and remote areas with the towns and major cities and various Central and State sponsored schemes have been launched in the state.
On this occasion, Provincial President, Youth National Conference S. S. Bunty, Parvinder Singh Block President Gandhi Nagar "B" also addressed the gathering.
A large number of youth joined National Conference on the occasion which include Maninder Singh, Simran Pal Singh, Karnajeet Singh, Satveer Singh, Ajaz Ahmad Ali, Niaz Ahmad Ali, Jagdev Singh, Vishal Singh etc.
