| Anganwadi workers to hold dharna on Marh 30 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 14:
The working committee of Anganwadi workers welfare association Jammu has decided to hold dharna on March 30 as the Social Welfare Department (I.C.D.S) of J&K Govt has not paid salaries of workers from last so many months in the state .
The meeting was presided over by Swama Choudhary.
The working committee expressed that salary of workers are not being paid at proper time whereas salary should be paid monthwise. The government also has not issued order of promotion to anganwadi workers as supervisiors and delaying with selfish motive which was against the provisions of law.
They alleged that nutrition was not being supplied at proper time and at some block substandard nutritions were being supplied .
Under ICDS scheme benefits which was enforced in the year 1978 are not being implemented in letter and spirit where as TA, DA, Rent, Teaching Allowance, Fuel Change Rs 300 with two gas cylinder as district and state level grievance committee be constituted to solve local problems.
