| Agri technocrats hold protest demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Mar 14: Hundreds of agriculture technocrats, engaged under REZ scheme in the state, today assembled outside Governor House to register their protest. The technocrats belonging to all districts of J&K were present in the one day protest dharna organized by J&K agriculture technocrats (JKATA) and Kashmir division (JKATUF).
The technocrats were holding playcards in their hands and raised slogans regarding regularisation of their services.
Addressing to media, Dr Surinder Radotra, president, JKATA said that they were assured by state government many times but their assurances proved failure every time in the state where professional degree holders like MBBS, BAMS were adjusted under NRHM scheme and paid five figure salary but it was very pitiable on the part of the government that agri technocrats who also have professional degree were forced to work on meager amount that too without any policy for their regularization.
Dr. Khursheed Ahmed president JKATUF said that hundreds of Agri Technocrats from Kashmir were on roads in Jammu and are observing fast unto death but the representatives of Kashmir Division who got mandate by the people of valley were silent from last 21 days perhaps they are waiting for the death of REZ of the valley.
Dr. Yasir Tak vice president of JKATA Dr Riaz Rather Ge Secy of JKATUF and Dr Rajeev Sharma Gen Sec of JKATA as well as all Distt presidents of Jammu and Kashmir spoke on the occasion.
