| Protest against backdoor appointments in PHE Rajouri SHAFIQ MIR | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Mar 14: Large scale protest demonstration was staged by the unemployed youth against backdoor appointments made in Public Health Engineering department Rajouri by the concerned authorities on the behest of politicians and in exchange of large scale money .
These appointments were part of the unemployment package announced by state government in recent past. Sources said that hundreds of unemployed youth who were earlier engaged by PHE Rajouri as daily wagers on need basis and who have been working in the department were not included in the latest list of daily wagers prepared by PHE Rajouri as part of the employment package announced by government in recent past .
Dharna, continued hours together during which the agitating youth raised slogans against Omar Abdullah government and PHE department alleging that the department has prepared a list of daily wagers as CP workers on behest of the politicians and on the choicest amount they received from aspiring candidates.
Though, Executive Engineer PHE division Rajouri denied the allegation saying that they have not prepared any such list. However, sources said that about 250 candidates have been engaged in PHE Rajouri by the concerned authorities on behest of ruling politicians and in exchange of large scale money they collected from the aspiring candidates.
