| Terror alert on Pakistani airports | | |
Islamabad, Nov 13 Two airports in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan have been placed on ''red alert'' and the remaining 34 airports in the country on a state of ''high vigilance'' following intelligence reports about the threat of terrorist attacks in the wake of the Dargai strike. The airports in Quetta and Gwadar have been placed on ''red alert'' indicating a high risk of terror attacks, Dawn newspaper quoted a security official as saying. The alert was raised to ''red'' in the wake of last week’s attack on an army training camp in Dargai town which left 42 soldiers dead, sending a wave of panic throughout the country. Due to the state of 'high vigilance', all passes have been cancelled and security checks hauled up at all airports, including the Islamabad International Airport. |
