| JMC clears 45 building permission cases | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 15 : a meeting of Building Operation Controlling Authority was held today under the chairmanship of S.C Sawhney, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation . In the meeting, the building permission cases were examined and 45 building permission cases were cleared. The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm), Joint Commissioner (Works) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting. The building permissions cases cleared today shall generate revenue of Rs 12 lacs for Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Besides this, the Municipal Veterinary Officer along with field staff conducted drive against the adulteration of milk and visited the areas of Rehari Chungi, New Plot, Sarwal, Rajpura, Shakti Nagar, Talab Tillo etc. During the drive, 98 milk cans were checked out of which 1 milk can which was of sub-standard quality was destroyed on spot. The team also checked the meat shops in the areas of New Plot, Janipur, Durha Nagar, Muthi, Subash Nagar and imposed fine upon defaulters who were selling the unstamped meat.
Further continuing the drive to check the menace of stray animals, the team had also visited the areas of New Plot, Janipur, Talab Tillo, Resham Ghar, Circular Road, Channi, Kunjwani, Satwari, etc and lifted 7 stray animals from these areas. The stray animals were impounded in the Municipal Cattle Pound. A total amount of Rs 7380.00 was charged as fine from the erring milk vendors, meat sellers and owners of stray animals.
