| JLSA to launch AURA for school, college students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, March 15 : Jammu Law Students Association (JLSA) is going to unfurl its new chapter "AURA" which is aimed at providing 1 million school students with basic legal education. It is a part of the Legal Awareness Initiative that is one of the major objectives of JLSA. It’s the next step which will work on the ground level and cover all schools and colleges of Jammu province. There will be an appointment of an AURA Ambassador in every school who will be among the students of that school. AURA aims to cover about 1 million students till the end of 2011.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of JLSA Nitin Parihar emphasized that legal awareness should reach the ground level i.e the students in various schools and colleges as they should be aware of the basic laws of nation. He also added that the first session of AURA will be launched soon in various schools and colleges. Ankesh Singh Chandel was appointed as the chief coordinator of AURA. Priya Johal as coordinator and Sophia Sharma as joint coordinator. Other members include Tanvi Kotwal, Ishween, Gurleen Kour, Boomika Gupta, Gaurav Pratap Singh, Amanpreet Kour, Eishaan Dadhichi and the technical team includes Asma Choudhary, Tanvi Sharma and Akarshan Kaul.
