‘Pay salaries to the employees’: PTU asks JMC

JAMMU, March 15 : Panthers Trade Union (PTU) asked the Municipal Commissioner, Jammu to pay the salaries to the municipal workers according to the minimum wages out of Rs.125 per day.
State president, PTU Shakti Gupta said that the six hundred municipal workers (Safari karamchari) appointed on adhoc basis in Srinagar and ignoring the Jammu based municipal workers of Jammu province.
Gupta also said that the Municipal Contractors have drawn the salaries of these workers but did not pay till date to Municipal workers (safari Karamchari).
He urged upon the government to pay the salaries to these municipal workers according to the minimum wages out of Rs. 125 per day directly to them without paying their salaries in hands of contractors.
