CM urged to provide ex-gratia to Kandi areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu , March 15: All J&K Kissan Union (AJKKU) has urged upon the Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Revenue to provide compensation against the loss of wheat and mustard crop due to recent Jalbary in khawas and Kandi areas of Rajouri Distt. In a Press statement issued here today by its Chairman Ashok Sharma former legislator. A deputation of farmers of Khawas area led by Thakur Munshi Ram and Kartar Singh meet the AJKKU, Chairman late afternoon at its State Headquarter. The delegation informed that there is 95% crop loss in about three dozen villages failing under Budhal Tehsil and Dharal and Kalakote Assembly Segments. There was a need to asses the crops loss and enter the same in revenue record to enable the government to pay adequate compensation to the suffering farmers. Sharma while interacting with the farmer’s delegation assured them to take up their problems with government and also demanded crop and cattle insurance on government expenses.
