| Core comm. 16 Corps visit Doda, Kishtwar hqs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA,MAR 16: Newly posted core commander 16 core J P Mehra today visited Army headquarters at Doda and Kishtwar districts and interacted with soldiers and prominent citizens .
The interaction session with the soldiers and prominent citizens was held at 4 RR Headquarter , Bhaderwah where Core commander J P Mehra threw light on the role of the Indian army .
Mehra said that soon a military station will be opened at Bhaderwah for the welfare of the people of the Chenab Basin and said in near future a special recruitment rally will be organized at Bhaderwah and Kishtwar for the downtrodden youth of the area and added that army is on job for opening up of the Chamba Basoli Bhaderwah road which is important with the point of defense .
Mehra also thanked the people of the Doda and Kishtwar for their cooperation to Army . Replying to a question , he said that there is no difference between the Army and the state government on the withdrawal of the troops and said that condition was not conducive for demilitarization as attempts were being made by the terrorists to enter the state .
Maj Gen Gurmeet Singh of Delta force, Brigader S Pouchary ,CO 4RR Col Paramjeet Singh ,DDC Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan ,CEO BDA Kalyian Singh ,ASP T R Katoch ,SDM Bhaderwah ,SDPO Ab Quyoom were also present.
