| Enhance honorarium of NRHM doctors: Tarigami | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 16: CPI (M) legislator Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami today called for enhancing the honorarium of doctors engaged under NRHM at par with their counterparts at national level.
Raising the issue in the assembly, he said that government will not have to bear any financial burden by enhancing their honorarium as the same is to be met out from the grants under the Center sponsored flagship programme of NRHM.
As the doctors and other staff engaged under the scheme have not job security, they should be at least given enhanced honorarium, he argued. The move, he said will attract unemployed trained doctors towards the scheme, which will help to tide over the shortage of doctors at district and block level hospitals, he said.
