JKNPP chairman meets Guv, submits memorandum | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 16: Asserting that reorganization is the only solution, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Chairman Bhim Singh today began hunger strike outside Rah Bhawan here. “We want equitable development of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Reorganization is must to resolve the mess,’’ Prof Singh said. He added that people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh would get equitable share and live happily if the reorganization is done. “Developmental funds provided by the central government are not be disbursed equally but ‘looted’ by the Ministers for their personal use,’’ alleged the Panthers Party chairman. He urged Governor N N Vohra to intervene and ensure amendment in Article 370 of the Constitution of India so that Jammu and Kashmir is reorganised by granting separate legislative, political, executive and financial powers to all the three regions of the state. ‘’Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu have distinct cultures and political identities so there is an urgent need to reorganise state on social, linguistic and geographical identities,’’ he added.
