| Inter Collegiate Men Cricket Tournament 2006-07 | | | JAMMU | NOV 13 Degree College (DC) Kishtwar registers a comfortable victory of six wickets over DC Kathua while MAM College defeated DC Doda with a big margin of 76 runs in the today’s fixtures of Inter Collegiate Men Cricket Tournament being organized by Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu. In the first fixture, DC Kishtwar won the toss and put DC Kathua in to bat first. Kathua batsmen failed to adjust the seaming conditions and bowled out for a paltry sum of 93 in just 22 overs. Vishav Khajuria contributed with 19 runs and Satwant and Vachaspati scored 13 each for DC Kathua while Adil Qayum and Amit Sharma did the trick for DC Kishtwar with disciplined bowling and scalped three wickets each. Batting second, DC Kishtwar chased the stipulated total in 17 overs with six wickets to spare. Amit Sharma of DC Kishtwar was declared as the man of the match for his magical bowling spell. In another fixture, DC Doda won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, MAM Batsmen piled up a huge total of 207 runs at the loss of all its wickets. From batting side, Farooq contributed with a useful knock of 58 runs, which contained six hits to the fence and a magnificent six. Ankit and Harmeet also chipped in with useful knocks of 46 and 30 respectively. Majid and Akhtar also captured 4 and 3 wickets respectively for their side. Chasing the huge victory target of 208, Doda batsmen crumbled at the score of 132 runs in 29.5 overs and lost the match with a big margin of 76 runs. Jarnail Singh bowled a lethal spell of six over and derailed the innings of DC Doda with claiming five wickets.
