| Safaikaramcharies to go on stir on April 1’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 16: The safaikaramcharies and other employees of Jammu Municipal corporation have decided to go on strike on April 1 in protest against the failure of government to fulfill their demands.
Their main demands included abolition of employment of SKC through contractor/ NGO on casual basis @ Rs 110/- per day, creation of post of ward officers on the pattern of Srinagar, release of arrears of 125 Skc who are regularized on 2005, rime bound promotion from 1-1-2006, immediate holding DPC meeting.
Their other demands included promotion of senior chauffer as incharge Transport/ Yard Inspector, Matric/ 10+2 passed Helper, Peon & I/C Clerk Promotes as Jr Asstt as down in Civil Secretariat and JDA, creation of 3 Zones in Health section at the pattern of Enforcement wing, and telease of 2 ½ day salary per month.
