| Woman found murdered inside Guest House at Katra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
katra, March 16 : A woman was found murdered in a Guest House room in the main bazar here this morning.
Police sources said two women in their forties checked in room No110 of Palasar Guest House Monday last at about 10 am.After some time, the guest house staff found the room locked fromoutside. They thought the women had gone for the darshans of Mata Vaishnodevi.
However, when they did not return even after two days, the staff today approached police and brought the matter to their notice. Acting on the complaint, cops reached the guest house.Sources said when they broke the lock and opened the door, they found the body of a woman lying on the bed. Her throat had been slit, the sources added.
FSL team was also summoned to collect evidence from the scene of the cime. After completing legal formalities, police removed the body to Katra CHC where it was kept in mortuary for identification. Sources said the women had checked in the guest house on a fake name and address. One of them had written her name in the register as Shalu of Somi Bihar and Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She had also written her mobile number against her name. The name, address and mobile number were found to be fake during verification by police.
Sources said the woman was murdered by another woman accompanying her.
After killing her, the other woman fled the spot and soon left Katratown, the sources added.Though police had registered a case in this connection, they were yet to get any clue to the identity of the victim and the accused. |
