| Tarigami demands safeguard for J&K’s properties | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 17: CPI (M) Legislator and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami today demanded prompt measures to safeguard state’s property at New –Delhi, Amritsar and Bombay.
He said the property at these places is shrinking for want of effective measures in place. Raising the issue in the House this morning, he said 114 kanals of land in New Delhi has shrunk to mere 15 kanals. How come government augment quarter facility when land is not available in the union capital, he questioned while highlighting the need to have more accommodation at New Delhi to facilitate citizens of the state.
He urged the government to take immediate measures to protect estates of the State situated outside.
