| Chief postmaster general calls on Vohra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 17: Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) J&K Circle John Samuel, called on the Governor N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
During the meeting, the Chief Postmaster General briefed the Governor about the functioning of the Department of Posts in the State and the initiatives he is taking to introduce further improvements in the delivery systems to meet the existing and emerging requirements of the growing population of the State.
Governor suggested to Samuel to consider enlargement of services and facilities in the remote and not well connected areas of J&K and, besides, to consider suitable measures for improving the average delivery time of ordinary mail.
This was Samuel’s first meeting with the Governor after he recently took over as the Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle. Vohra wished Samuel a very successful tenure.
