Diploma engineers' case: Govt asked to examine recommendations before promotions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 17: In a case of diploma engineers, high court judge, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir today ordered the government to examine the recommendations made by it within the period of notice served upon it. The court issued notice to respondents returnable within two weeks and ordered that they might examine the recommendations within the notice period and make decision before making promotions. The court directive came in a writ petition filed by J&K diploma engineers association. In the petition, the association prayed the court that 20 per cent quota be reserved for diploma engineers while making promotions to J&K engineering (gazetted) service.
