Lt. Gen JP Nehra visit Kishtwar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Sudershan Sharma KISHTWAR,March 17: Lt Gen Jai Prakash Nehra, General Officer Commanding 16 Corps visited Kishtwar, here today. The General Officer was also accompanied by Maj Gen Gurmit Singh, GOC Delta Force and Brig S.S. Prasad, Cdr 9 Sect RR. During the visit, the General Officer interacted with all the prominent personalities, civil dignitaries, senior administrator officers, General Public, ex-servicemen and war widows of Kishtwar District. The General Officer also visited Ashiana Orphanage constructed by the Army under Operation Sadbhavana and distributed books, study materials and sweets to the orphans. He also visited the youth employment and guidance node (YEGN) and appreciated the efforts taken by the Army in the establishment of YEGN and hailed active participation and enthusiasm of children of Kishtwar. Speaking on the occasion, the General Officer expressed his gratitude to the civil administration as well as the local populace for their tremendous support to the security forces in the ongoing mission of eliminating terrorism and bringing peace and tranquility in the region. The General Officer also presented a wheel chair to Chunni Lal, son of Shri Om Prakash, a resident of village Keshwan which was procured by the Army as part of Operation Sadbhavana.
