| Is BSNL befooling customers? | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 17: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) telecom authority is ditching people of district Ramban by launching different schemes which actually do not exist in the area.
One such example of befooling the people came to fore when some association organized an employment fare in October last year in Ramban in which different were set up by different organization to apprise commoners about different schemes of state government for unemployed youths.
Neeraj Nargotra a businessman by profession and resident of Ramban said that he purchased a connection of e-video by paying Rs. 3299 including the charge of e-video, activation charges and rent of one month.
He also said that he was told by the person incharge that after some days, his connection would get activated. But later he came to know that this service of internet through e-video of BSNL is unavailable in his area and he was befooled by the BSNL authorities.
He further said that he approached the concerned authority at different offices in Jammu and Udhampur but to no avail. Locals said that they are not satisfied with the service of BSNL network in town as there is no bill collection counter in Ramban to collect the mobile bills of subscribers. And the people are facing hardship, when their connection gets disconnected due to the nonpayment of bill on time.
