| Release pending installments of cola, reduce qualifying service: PDP | | | JAMMU | NOV 13 A meeting of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Labour Cell was held today under the chairmanship of S. Sukwinder Singh vice president Labour cell organized by Darshan Mangotra general secretary PDP labour cell. A number of employees and workers were attended the meeting and discussed burning problems of the employees and workers. While addressing the meeting Sukwinder Singh, Darshan Mangotra, S Nirmal Singh and Thoru Ram strongly criticized higher authority of public sector for not depositing E Pf amount for the last fifty months. According to press release authority has detected the amount from the salary of the workers but to fail to deposit in the amount of the workers particularly in the JKI, SRTC. SIDCO, SFC and others. They appealed to the Govt. to release pending salaries of the workers particularly in JKI Forest Environment and others. Releasing of all pending installments of COLA and convert COLA into DA for the welfare of public sector employees immediately. In the meeting Darshan Mangotra urged upon the state Govt to implement SRO-149 particularly in engineering department like PHE, PDD, Mechanical department, PWD, R&B to benefit ITI and non ITI employees issues formally order of uniform rate of Rs.21.00 in favour of daily rated worker and enhance retirement age from 58 years to 60 years as per to central Govt. employees, reduced qualifying service length from 33 years to 22 year immediately without any further delay. Others leasers who spoke on the occasion included Amjad Ali, Th. Rajinder Singh, Babu Ram, Anwar Hussain, Ashok Kumar, Abdul Rashid, Mohd Hussain and others.
